International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA)
IMSA is dedicated to providing quality certification programs for the safe installation, operation and maintenance of public safety systems; delivering value for members by providing the latest information and education in the industry.

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)
NFPA sets codes for the fire alarm industry. The mission of the international nonprofit NFPA, established in 1896, is to reduce the worldwide burden of fire and other hazards on the quality of life by providing and advocating consensus codes and standards, research, training, and education. The world's leading advocate of fire prevention and an authoritative source on public safety, NFPA develops, publishes, and disseminates more than 300 consensus codes and standards intended to minimize the possibility and effects of fire and other risks.

The American Society of Safety Engineers
Founded in 1911, the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) is the world’s oldest professional safety society. ASSE promotes the expertise, leadership and commitment of its members, while providing them with professional development, advocacy and standards development. It also sets the occupational safety, health and environmental community’s standards for excellence and ethics.

The American Society for Quality (ASQ)
ASQ is a global community of people dedicated to quality who share the ideas and tools that make our world work better. With individual and organizational members around the world, ASQ has the reputation and reach to bring together the diverse quality champions who are transforming the world’s corporations, organizations and communities to meet tomorrow’s critical challenges. ASQ provides the quality community with training, professional certifications, and knowledge to a vast network of members of the global quality community.

The Automatic Fire Alarm Association (AFAA)
AFAA was formed in 1953 and is the only national trade association exclusively dedicated to representing the automatic fire detection and fire alarm systems industry. The membership is made up of all segments of industry (manufacturers, distributors, state/regional associations, users, AHJ's engineers).

Building Owners and Manager's Association (BOMA)
As the industry's oldest trade association, BOMA International has emerged as the leading voice for building owners and managers. BOMA International is a primary source of information on building management and operations, development, leasing, building operating costs, energy consumption patterns, local and national building codes, legislation, occupancy statistics, technological developments and other industry trends.

Fire Suppression Systems Association (FSSA)
The Fire Suppression Systems Association (FSSA) is an organization of manufacturers, suppliers, and designer-installers, dedicated to providing a higher level of fire protection. FSSA members are specialists in protecting high value special hazard areas from fire. The focus of fire protection has always been to limit the damage a fire can cause. Originally, the goal was to confine fire to a city block. Today's conventional water systems can confine a fire to a building, a floor and even to the point of containing a fire within a single room.

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)
IEEE is the world's largest technical professional society. IEEE, an association dedicated to advancing innovation and technological excellence for the benefit of humanity, is the world’s largest technical professional society. It is designed to serve professionals involved in all aspects of the electrical, electronic and computing fields and related areas of science and technology that underlie modern civilization.

The National Association of Fire Equipment Distributors (NAFED)
NAFED is a trade organization which represents over 1200 fire equipment dealers, affiliates and associate members. NAFED is a trade association serving companies that sell, distribute, and service fire equipment. Nearly all of our members sell and service portable fire extinguishers in addition to a full range of fire protection services including the installation and/or maintenance of pre-engineered kitchen systems, industrial systems, fire alarms, security systems, sprinklers, fire hose and standpipes, and emergency and exit lighting. You can find NAFED members working in commercial, industrial, and residential settings making buildings safe and giving individuals the tools they need to fight early-stage fires.

The National Association of State Fire Marshals
The National Association of State Fire Marshals is an organization dedicated to foster, promote, and develop ways and means of protecting life and property through the exchange and interchange of fire protection and life safety concepts at a state and national level.

The National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association (NBFAA)
The National Burglar & Fire Alarm Association (NBFAA) was founded in 1948 and is the nation's oldest and largest association dedicated to representing, promoting, and supporting the electronic life safety, security, and systems industry.

The National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA)
Founded in 1901, NECA is a membership organization comprised of 4000 members who are electrical contractors. NECA is a dynamic national organization serving the management interests of the entire electrical contracting industry. NECA is dedicated to enhancing the industry through innovative research, performance standards, progressive labor relations, and workforce recruiting and training.

The National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC)
NVFC is the leading nonprofit membership association representing the interests of the volunteer fire, EMS, and rescue services. The NVFC serves as the voice of the volunteer in the national arena and provides invaluable tools, resources, programs, and advocacy for first responders across the nation.

The Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE)
The Society of Fire Protection Engineers was established in 1950 and incorporated as an independent organization in 1971. It is the professional society representing those practicing the field of fire protection engineering. The Society has over 4500 members globally and over 60 regional chapters. The purpose of the Society is to advance the science and practice of fire protection engineering and its allied fields, to maintain a high ethical standard among its members and to foster fire protection engineering education.
